3. Answer any one of the following questions in about 50-60 words each.

(a) Write the definition and classification of Sruti in Carnatic music.

(b) What is Gamaka? How did Gamakas mentioned in Sangita Ratnakara?





4. Answer any one of the following questions in about 100-150 wards each.

(a) *All Sarali Varisais have a beautiful set of Swaras with different permutations and combinations”. Justify the statement in your own words. 

(b) Name the raga which is easy for beginners to learn, and the Swaras stand in balanced distance from one another. Write a few lines about that raga.

(a) Write the important features of Sarali Varisai, and also mention any two Varisai with ascending and descending order.

(b) Name any four names of musical instruments whose sound is produced by setting into vibration. Collect any three photographs of them, and write in detail about the instruments.
