Ans- He was the pioneer in exploration of Renaissance painting, which helped him in the composition of the Canvass painting using several colors which was most beautiful at that times. Through his painting he give the message of rebirth and modernity.

(b) Write the four main features of Degas painting.

Ans- The main features of the painting of Degas were:-

1. Most of the painting by Degas based on ballet.

2. Painting were on ballerinas dancing and their practicing movement.

3. Degas painting technique earned him the title of impressionist artist, but the rejected it and favoring to be called a realist.

4. His painting produced with careful and meticulous effort, not impulsiveness.

(a) What are the motifs used in Kolam painting. Explain the method of Kolam painting.

Ans- In the Kolam patterns, many designs are derived from magical motifs and abstract designs blended with philosophic and religious motifs which have been mingled together. Motifs may include fish, birds and other animal images to symbolize the unity of man and beast. The sun, moon and other zodiac symbols were also used.

(b) What did artist Monet focused in his painting ‘Water lilies’ write atleast 5 to 6 Sentences?

Ans- Water Lilies is the name of the series of 250 oil painting by Claude Monet.

Claude Monet was an impressionist.

Water lilies was recognised as the most iconic painting of impressionism.

In the painting “water lilies” Monet focused on the water surface.

In the painting, monet had drawn the reflection of the sky, willows, lilies on the surface of the water.

(b) Write four Pioneers of Contemporary Indian Art and their contribution of the area of Art.

• Ans- Jamini Roy is well known for his modernization of the Bengali folk themed art. He depicted many elements from the Indian mythology in his arts, including the Ramayana and Mahabharata.

• Raja Ravi Verma was another pioneer of the modern contemporary Indian Art. He us well know for his fusion art style of European academic and Indian traditional.

• Abanindranath Tagore was also famous for this unique artworks. But, he was also known for the foundation of the “Indian Society of Oriental Art”.

• Nandala Bose was also an exceptionally talent artist. He is especially regarded as the pioneer of the modern Indian art.

6. Prepare any one project out of the given below:

(b) Draw sketches of a table, pencil, flower vase, pencil box and book. These are available at your home. Take on 1/2 imperial size cartridge paper and arrange all these drawings into such a composition that expresses a relationship between each objects. Take care to show the elements of balance, harmony and rhythm in this composition.
